Dissolved oxygen analyzers Econix-Expert are designed to measure the mass concentration of dissolved oxygen and temperature (for all types of water, including wastewater and aeration tank water). The sensor's sensitive element is a special phosphorescent dye. Under the influence of oxygen, phosphorescence is extinguished, which the analyzer recalculates into the concentration value. This method is extremely highly selective due to the unique properties of the oxygen molecule. The higher the oxygen content, the faster the phosphorescence quenching of the dye occurs, the shorter the lifetime of its excited state. This dependence is described by the Stern-Vollmer equation. With its help, the device calculates the oxygen concentration. At the same time, a temperature correction is automatically made.
